CALIF TB-117 Vertical Flammability Tester for Flame Spread with 90 or 25 Degree

Description:

Vertical Flammability Chamber for measuring the vertical flame spread for childrens sleepwear, fabrics, other textile materials or resilient filling materials used in upholstered furniture. Comprises a draft free stainless steel cabinet with observation window and back wall painted black for easy test viewing. Specimen holders, burner and associated hardware are dependent on the test standard and must be specified. Separate enclosure for manual gas controls is located away from the flame chamber for operator convenience.

The instrument is mainly composed of a burning test box and a control panel. A specimen is positioned vertically above a controlled flame and exposed for a specified period of time. The flame then is removed, and afterflame time and afterglow time are measured.The instrument is used to test woven fabric, knitted fabrics, coated fabric and such kind of fabric.
